Organizers in Marshall County are opening an eight-decade roll call as the Britton Area Snow Queen festival prepares to mark its 80th anniversary this November. Snow Queen Chair Laken Werner announced this week that past titleholders from across the region are invited to take the stage for a milestone celebration at Amacher Auditorium on Saturday, November 7. The evening will begin with a social hour at Snapper's Dry Bean before moving to the auditorium for the coronation and a retrospective honoring former royalty. Organizers are assembling an archival slideshow and urging past queens to send in coronation memories, current hometowns, and family photos. Those who register with the committee before the October 15 deadline will be recognized on stage with custom commemorative sashes during the program.
