Early Voting Opens Today Across Five County Sites

Happy Saturday — early voting doors open across the county at 9 AM today, giving everyone a full week to mark their ballots ahead of primary day.


The Lead

Early voting for the August 18 primary election officially begins today, Saturday, August 8, across five designated locations in Hernando County. Sites are open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM through Saturday, August 15. Local voters can cast their ballots at either the Spring Hill Branch Library or the Supervisor of Elections branch office at Forest Oaks Government Center, as well as three additional sites in Brooksville.

Registered voters may cast their ballots at any of the five locations during this eight-day window, regardless of precinct assignment. Secure ballot intake stations are also available at each site for residents returning vote-by-mail ballots in person. Voters should bring a valid photo and signature ID when arriving at the polls.
