Scouting prime bluff perches along the water is already underway for artists arriving ahead of tomorrow's paint-out. Take advantage of today's calm pace before the weekend bustle takes over.
The Lead
Artists will unpack their easels across the neighborhood this weekend as the third annual Paint Sea Cliff plein air event returns on Saturday and Sunday. Organized by the Sea Cliff Arts Council in partnership with Sherman Art Conservation, the two-day gathering invites painters and sketchers of all skill levels to depict the village’s Victorian architecture, forested paths, and panoramic harbor views. Registered participants can work anywhere within municipal borders between 9:00 AM Saturday and 5:00 PM Sunday before turning in their finished canvases for judging. Submissions will hang at the Arts Council gallery throughout October, with cash awards slated for the top three selections. If you want to paint, canvas registration opens in person Saturday at 9:00 AM at 86 Roslyn Avenue.
