Fort Knox Food Truck Favorite Opens Doors on Dixie Highway

Radcliff, KY · October 7, 2026

Mid-morning canvas painting at City Park is the clearest sign that fall break is in full swing. Enjoy the tranquil autumn rhythm today before the weekend bustle returns.

The Lead

A longtime on-post lunchtime staple has officially made the leap to a permanent home along North Dixie Boulevard. General Phở Vietnamese Kitchen, founded by retired Army veteran Van Tran, built a dedicated following operating as a food truck outside the Human Resources Command complex on Fort Knox.

Now, Tran and his family have welcomed diners into their freshly renovated storefront at 944 North Dixie Boulevard, brightening the corridor in an eye-catching lime green across from the old cinema. The expanded kitchen serves up signature slow-simmered beef pho, banh mi sandwiches, and grilled noodle bowls that regulars used to queue up for in base parking lots. With interior seating open and a high-tech delivery cart on the way, the official ribbon cutting awaits on October 24, but the giant stockpots are already bubbling for hungry neighbors today.
