Los Angeles World Airports is initiating a major overnight phase in its Century Boulevard roadway transformation project. Starting late tonight between 12:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., crews will execute a full directional closure of westbound Century Boulevard between Jetway Boulevard and Vicksburg Avenue, routing all airport-bound drivers onto 98th Street. This overnight detour marks the start of a three-month operation to dismantle massive concrete light pylons within the center median between Jetway and Aviation boulevards.

While airport terminal operations will remain uninterrupted during the day, late-night travelers and early-morning commuters should budget extra travel time. Construction crews will also be working behind K-rail barriers along the median and south side of Century Boulevard to build a new pedestrian bridge and restore surrounding pavement. Additional overnight lane restrictions will continue through Friday as electrical utilities are safely decommissioned.
