Downtown Farmers Market Wraps Its Season This Thursday
Los Altos, CA · October 27, 2026
Overcast skies have settled over the neighborhood this morning, but tonight's City Council session will keep the civic gears turning.
The Lead
State Street's Thursday night ritual was originally scheduled to pack up for the season two weeks ago. Instead, the Pacific Coast Farmers' Market Association and the Los Altos Village Association quietly granted downtown an extra fortnight, stretching the evening gathering through this Thursday, October 29.
The extension bridges the market directly into downtown's busiest autumn stretch, preceding Friday's Halloween festivities. For regulars, that means one final evening between 4:00 and 8:00 PM to grab end-of-season Watsonville strawberries from P&K Farms, hot porchetta from Roli Roti, and fresh produce from regional growers before winter routines set in. The mid-block closure of State Street between Second and Third streets will see its final Thursday pedestrian takeover of 2026.
Vendors will pack up their tents at 8:00 PM Thursday, after which the street returns to normal evening parking until spring.
