Commercial Plat Review Clears Path for Norvell Bryant Retail
Lecanto, FL · August 26, 2026
Wipers will get a light workout this morning along County Road 491. The rest of Wednesday brings a steady slate of commercial development updates and neighborhood workshops.
The Lead
County development reviewers have completed technical evaluations for the Corta Black Diamond commercial plat along West Norvell Bryant Highway, clearing an essential hurdle for a proposed multi-parcel retail and professional development.
The seven-lot plan at 3503 West Norvell Bryant Highway is designed to bring small-scale retail, services, and medical office space to the growing central corridor. With recent road-widening improvements across the adjacent highway network completed earlier this year, county planners confirmed that stormwater drainage, utility capacity, and access management plans meet current land development standards.
Staff forwarded the final plat recommendations this week, setting up the development for formal administrative plat recording before ground clearing and utility installation begin along the frontage.
