Eastside commuters will need to rethink their usual routes starting tomorrow as major roadwork reshapes the intersection of Southeastern Parkway and Olio Road. Beginning Monday, the fifth leg of the roundabout permanently closes to traffic, triggering a series of domino detours across the medical and retail corridor. Olio Road drops to a single lane in each direction between the circle and just south of 136th Street, while 136th Street shuts down entirely west of Olio for roughly three weeks so crews can connect a new two-way bypass. Patients and visitors heading into IU Health Fishers will retain direct access through the dedicated I-69 bypass lane, and emergency routes remain open. Drivers heading east will detour south along 134th Street. Electronic message boards and detour signs go live before dawn.
