High School Marchers Earn Spot in 2028 Rose Parade

The Lead
The Fishers High School Marching TIGER Band has secured a coveted invitation to perform in the 2028 Rose Parade in Pasadena, marking the first time in school history that local students will take on the iconic 5.5-mile New Year's Day route.
The band is one of just ten high school programs worldwide selected through a competitive international application process, sharing the lineup with ensembles traveling from Japan, Colombia, and Costa Rica. Following their 2023 appearance at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, this invitation places more than 200 student musicians on an international broadcast. Director Elijah Gardner announced the milestone directly to the ensemble following a full-day rehearsal. A massive community fundraising effort now begins to move over 200 performers and two equipment semi-trailers across the country.
