Fire Safety Expo and Open-Air Markets Headline the Weekend
Feasterville Trevose, PA · October 9, 2026
Chilly mornings have officially settled across the neighborhoods. Grab a hot coffee, because Saturday's community calendar is shaping up to be one of the busiest of the fall.
The Lead
Lower Southampton Fire Department and Feasterville Fire Company No. 1 are joining forces this Saturday for their annual "Charge Into Fire Safety" community expo at Poquessing Middle School. Running from noon to 4:00 PM, the free event marks National Fire Prevention Month by opening the bay doors to the public before winter home-heating season begins in earnest. Families can climb aboard frontline engines, watch live vehicle-extrication and ladder demonstrations, and practice hands-on extinguisher techniques alongside active-duty crews. Local volunteers will also distribute smoke detector batteries, map out home escape routes with youngsters, and discuss volunteer firefighting opportunities with interested residents. Live apparatus demonstrations take place throughout the afternoon on the school grounds, with free visitor parking situated directly in the main lot off Heights Lane.
