Following the weekend Nor’easter that washed heavy rain and high winds across Lower Bucks County, Lower Southampton Township Public Works has deployed municipal street sweepers to clear neighborhood corridors this week. Sweepers are making runs along residential roads including Peyton Street, Elbow Lane, Loblolly Street, and Red Cone Street, with additional passes scheduled through Short Leaf Street, Cembra Court, and Old Street Road. The post-storm operation is designed to clear accumulated branches, wet leaves, and road grit before they wash into and clog municipal storm drains. Officials urge residents living along these routes to keep vehicles off curbsides during daytime hours so sweeping brushes can reach gutters unobstructed. Crews plan to continue neighborhood runs straight through Friday.
