The Lead
Oxford has opened its annual advance promotion for the 2026 Festival of Lights at Choccolocco Park. The drive-through holiday light show, which stretches over 1.5 miles with synchronized illuminated displays and Santa’s Village, returns on November 20. Through the end of October, families can lock in carload tickets for $15—a steep discount from the regular gate prices of $20 to $25 arriving in November. Mayor Alton Craft noted the early window aims to help local households plan ahead and keep holiday outings affordable before peak season rush. Each promotional ticket also automatically enters purchasers into a VIP package drawing for Santa's Village activities, including snow tubing and ice skating. Passes are available online at the city's event portal now through Halloween night.
