Crisp autumn air has settled across the riverbanks this morning, and with frost headed into the forecast tonight, it is prime time to harvest the last garden pumpkins. Plenty of music and market bustle awaits before the sun dips down.

The Lead

City planners face a packed docket Monday night as two substantial commercial proposals come forward for public review. The Planning Board will take up a pair of site plan applications that could reshape parcels on opposite sides of town.

On Liberty Drive, developer 162 Parkway South, LLC is seeking approval to construct a multi-use complex featuring light manufacturing, warehousing, and construction equipment storage. Across town off Arista Drive, Arista Drive Solar, LLC proposes a commercial solar array designed with an integrated pollinator and wildlife habitat initiative. Both projects require board sign-off on site layout, grading, and environmental screening before ground can break.

The public hearing convenes Monday at 6:00 PM in the Arthur C. Verow Council Chambers at City Hall. Residents wishing to weigh in on neighborhood impact, buffer zones, or traffic flow must submit written testimony to the city planner by 4:00 PM Monday.
