Permanent Taproom and Patio Break Ground on Ryder Street
Arlington, MA · October 17, 2026
A crisp autumn breeze is rolling across the bike path this morning, setting the stage for a full slate of weekend gatherings. Pull on an extra layer before heading out for lakeside festivities or afternoon cinema.
The Lead
Arlington Brewing Company has officially broken ground on a permanent brewery and taproom at 15 Ryder Street, marking a pivotal milestone for a project nearly two years in the making. Founded in 2021 by longtime homebrewer and former engineer Tom Allen, the craft outfit has spent the past five years operating as a nomadic contract brewer, pouring pints at local community gatherings and pop-up beer gardens.
The new facility, developed in partnership with Massachusetts-based construction manager Haynes, will feature a brewhouse, taproom, full-service kitchen, outdoor patio, and space for live music. Situated just off the Minuteman Bikeway in an industrial pocket of East Arlington, the site promises to turn a long-underused commercial parcel into an active neighborhood destination. Construction crews will spend the coming months erecting the steel framework, aiming to pour the first pints from their permanent taps by spring 2027.
